Sandia Elementary Honors Firefighters

Cards made by Sandia Elementary students decorate the wall at Station 334

Sandia Elementary School has an after school enrichment program called SAGE where students do art classes, sport activities, crafts, and gardening projects to name a few.

This year the students made it their project to honor firefighters for Fire Prevention Week by making cards and sending them to the fire stations. Apple Valley Fire Protection District firefighters were touched and honored by the students' cards and artwork.

As you can see from the photo above, there were many cards received and they are on display at Station 334 for all of our fire personnel to see and appreciate. Thanks to the students of SAGE for their thoughtfulness!
