Teach children fire safety and prevention. Teach their schools how to minimize fire code violations. Make Apple Valley schools S.A.F.E.R. -- Schools Achieving Fire Education and Readiness.

The S.A.F.E.R. Program is the brainstrom of Jason Nailon, Fire Protection Specialist, and one of many reasons for being recognized recently by the San Bernardino County Fire Chiefs' Association.

Jason is an expert in his field and during the construction of Fire Station #336 on Yucca Loma Road, he designed and installed the fire sprinkler system. He was also awarded a grant by Southern California Edison whereby local businesses were able to receive energy-saving illuminated exit signs at no cost. To date, over 125 exit signs have been issued.

According to Fire Chief Qualls, "Jason is extremely knowledgeable in the field of fire prevention, but is also a highly qualified fire and arson investigator."

Congratulations to Jason Nailon!
