Wal-Mart Employees Tackle the Real Thing

The Fire Brigade learns the skills and techniques of firefighting.

Live fire training was recently held at Wal-Mart Distribution Center for the Fire Brigade Team. The training centered on the team's response and management of a pallet fire. Past training sessions have included the use of fire extinguishers, fire safety and behavior, and the use of interior fire protection equipment.

Fire training allows the brigade team an opportunity to experience the feel of live or "real" fire. They know what to expect which, in turn, improves their response to an incident on site. Apple Valley Fire Protection District is committed to training the Center's Fire Brigade Team at least two times per year.
