Apple Valley Fire Protection District proudly announces the following promotions:
* Firefighter/Paramedic Craig Malloy to Engineer * Paid-Call Firefighter Darin Patteron to Limited Term Firefighter * Limited Term Firefighter Shaun Grover to Firefighter * Limited Term Firefighter Shaugn Rice to Firefighter
The Fire District encourages firefighters to promote to the next level with an on-the-job training program and a funding mechanism to support higher education. The program actually begins with Explorer volunteers who are interested in a career in fire service, and who exhibit the commitment to education and training. The program has proven to be successful because three of the four firefighters promoted started their career as an Apple Valley Explorer!
