Another Apple Valley C.E.R.T. class graduated on October 21, completing 24-hours of instruction that included disaster preparedness, psychology, search and rescue, triage, first aid, team organization, and much more. The C.E.R.T. program -- Community Emergency Response Team -- has trained well over 250 people over the past few years. According to Cindy Serrano, Emergency Services Manager, "The more residents we train, the more residents we have who are prepared to take care of themselves, their families and their neighborhood during a disaster. In turn, this will keep our professional resources available to help at the most serious situations."
