Fire raged on at Southern California Logistics Airport, formerly George AFB, during a training drill on Saturday, June 2. Apple Valley Fire District firefighters and chief officers battled the blazing structure, which could be seen throughout most of the valley. Live burns, such as this, provide an opportunity to train and exercise fire suppression capabilities, communications and unified command. Other participants included City of Victorville Fire Department and County of San Bernardino Fire Department.
