A recent fire at a new construction site on Apple Valley Road was quickly extinguished eliminating the spread of fire to nearby businesses and residences. On July 21, 2007, approximately 30 firefighters from Apple Valley, Victorville and the County of San Bernardino responded and contained the fire within 45 minutes. Damage was reported at about $30,000 to the second story of the structure, which was set to house a Taco Bell and a hair salon.
Because of recent 100+ degree temperatures and natural high winds in the Victor Valley, each fire can be a potential disaster. It is important for all residents and businesses to focus on pro-active fire safety practices.
