Chili pots await the taste-test!

Too hot! Too thick! Too watery! Just right -- and that was the winner of the annual Chili Cook-Off! Each year the Fire District competes with employees from Mojave Water Agency and Apple Valley Ranchos Water Company for "bragging rights" of who can make the best chili.

The chili event turns in to a grand luncheon complete with chili, all the fixin's, and lots of other great food too. While the Fire District lost the title this year, recipes are already in motion for the big challenge next year!
