I started my career and employment with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District in January 1984 as a Paid-Call Firefighter. Four years later, I was promoted to Career Firefighter, and later earned the rank of Engineer and then Captain.

I have held my current position as Division Chief in charge of Operations since March 2000. As Division Chief, my area of responsibility is the oversight of the day to day operations of fire companies. I ensure that our District is staffed with well trained professionals who are capable of handling a wide variety of emergency and non emergency situations. Our goal is to provide our citizens and visitors with a rapid and safe response when needed.

My wife, Chris, and I raised our three sons in Apple Valley and are proud that they have each chosen to follow a career in the fire service.
